Polish Bank Account Changes
Starting on 1st January 2020, the Polish Tax Authorities are changing the way they receive VAT payments. Up until the 31st December 2019, payments were made into one centralised bank account in Poland where payment references would need to be used in order to match individual VAT payments to the company who collected the VAT, however For any payments made from 1st January 2020, each company will need to make their VAT payments into their own specified Tax Micro Account. Payments for the period of November 2019 that are made in December 2019 should be made into the usual central account. Any payments made into the central account in Poland after 1st January 2020 will be lost.
