    Estonia Further VAT Rate Increase:


    Following the relatively recent standard VAT rate increase in Estonia from 20% to 22%, which took effect on 1.1.2024, the new Estonian government has announced its plans to soon again increase the standard VAT rate by further 2% with a view to gaining more funds to cover the increasing spending on the country’s defence needs. If the plan is implemented, starting from 1 July 2025 the standard VAT rate in Estonia will be at 24%.
