Free Webinar: Major Changes to the EU Retail Imports Regime
From July this year, the EU will end the customs duty exemptions on retail imports of €150 or less, and implement a €3 per item type flat rate charge. France and Romania have jumped ahead and implemented their own flat rate charges already. These charges will have a major impact on the financial viability of direct shipments to EU customers for many retailers, and some may be forced to consider alternative solutions like bulk import at one EU point of entry and onward distribution within the Single Market.
