    Ireland Has Raised Tourism Rates


    The Irish authorities have confirmed that it will raise their tourism VAT rate from 9% up to 13.5% effective 1st January 2019. The 9% lower rate was initially set due to the global financial crisis which has now passed. The increase is expected to generate in excess of 400 million Euro per year in additional revenue.
