    VAT On Digital Services For Russia Starting 1st January 2017


    Russia will become the next country to impose VAT on Business to Consumer supplies of electronic services rendered by non-established service providers.
    All foreign companies who provide digital services to Russian individuals will be legally required to register for VAT in Russia and charge the local VAT rate. Suppliers of these services will be subject to the standard VAT rate of 18% effectively from 1 January 2017.
